Our schedulers will take your information and ask screening questions to determine which appointments you'll need.  If you qualify for Fast Track Apnea Care, we will schedule you for a Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT) followed by a clinical evaluation with one of our experienced sleep specialists, usually as a telemedicine evaluation.

If you have certain health conditions and are not eligible for Fast Track, we'll schedule you for a clinical evaluation to plan your care.

(Note: Children are not eligible for Fast Track Apnea Care.)

Home Sleep Apnea Study

A Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT) is convenient and economical.   For your HSAT, you'll pick up the sleep recording device from our sleep health center, and we'll instruct you how to use it.  You'll do the study at in the comfort of your own bed that night and return the recorder to our center the next business day.

Clinical Evaluation

One to two weeks after your Home Sleep Study, you'll have an telemedicine evaluation with a sleep specialist to discuss results and to plan for treatment that may be needed.  You can do this visit on your cell phone or computer.   In-person evaluations at our sleep center are available for patients that are unable to do telemedicine visits.  Click for instructions on telemedicine visits.

If you don't qualify for Fast Track Apnea Care, you'll will have a clinical evaluation with a sleep specialist first, and then depending on medical need, you may get testing using an HSAT or lab sleep study.

Apnea Treatment

If you have Obstructive Sleep Apnea, our sleep specialists can order a CPAP machine based on the results of your HSAT.   Simple as that!

Individuals with more complicated needs may require an additional in-lab treatment sleep study to determine the correct therapy, which may include a BiPAP or an Auto-Servo Ventilation device.

Some patients are appropriate for new implanted electro-stimulation therapies, such as Inspire.   The next step would be a referral to an Inspire surgeon for evaluation.

Once on a treatment device, insurance companies typically require a follow-up evaluation with your sleep specialist to assess treatment success before they will continue paying for the device.   Yearly visits are required by insurers for renewal of equipment insurance benefits.

If you are an existing CPAP user needing follow-up care, we'll schedule you for an evaluation with a sleep specialist.  You may not need testing.
